This is one of the great pleasures of embarking on a road trip.
Located in Monterey, the 17-Mile Drive scenic area is known for its stunning landscapes where the sea meets the sky, colorful flowers adorn the surroundings, and squirrels and seabirds can be spotted everywhere amidst the steep cliffs. The lush pine trees form a beautiful 17-mile-long painting. Despite its reputation as the world's most beautiful 17-mile coastline, it's important to note that this is actually a privately-owned estate that used to require a ten-dollar fee for entry. In 1880, the elegant Del Monte Hotel opened, offering comfortable accommodations for visitors. The highway winds its way around the Monterey Peninsula, all the way to Del Monte Forest.
Even today, the 17-Mile Drive continues to showcase the most captivating scenery in the United States. Apart from the deep blue sea and sky, it is also home to the renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links, the largest golf course in the world, which has helped elevate Woods' fame. With frequent strong winds, achieving a good score in such an environment is not easy, so golfers strive to take their skills to the next level. This is where they put their skills to the test. When we arrived, the weather was fine, and the golf course was stunning.
